1.Check mail feature:
Login into your server using SSH protocol, check mail feature:
/etc/init.d/postfix status
If you see the picture above, it means the mail feature is working properly.
Note:If the mail feature is not working properly, please contact tech support.
2.VOS Client Setting
SMTP Setting: In the VOS client interface, click ‹System management› → ‹System parameter›
Please refer to the figure below:
Go to /etc/hosts and edit the file with your domain name “Smtp domain name” info. Check the below figure
3.Automatic e-mail report setting:
Step 1: In the VOS client interface, click ‹System management› → ‹System parameter›
Automatically generate clearing account detail report: On
Note: The report will be generated around 1 am every day, so the next day can query today’s report.
In the VOS client interface, click ‹System› → ‹Account management› → choose an account, click ‹Additional settings› → “Edit”.
Click “Email”, choose “Report sending mode: Daily, Weekly or Monthly”, fill in the recipient’s email address. Click “OK”, and click “Apply”.
Note: If you choose to send the report as a weekly way, you can specify send the report on which day in ‹System parameter›. After the above configuration is complete, you can click “Send Now” to test whether the function is normal. If you can’t receive the e-mail, please contact tech support.

4.Automatic e-mail alarm setting:
Step 1: In the VOS client interface, click ‹System management› → ‹System parameter›
Email alarm: On
Step 2: Fill “Alarm email address”
Optional parameter:
Delay of email alarm(seconds) 0-7200: Unit: second. When an alarm occurs continuously, alarm emails will be sent at this interval.
Click “Apply”.
Step 3: For example, set the account balance alarm:
In the VOS client interface, click ‹Alarm management› → ‹Alarm Settings› → ‹Balance alarm›
Click “Add”, fill “Account id”, “Alarm severity”, “Lower”. “Email alarm” choose “default”. If you have filled the “Alarm email address” in ‹System parameter›, you can ignore “Email” here.
Click “Apply”.
Note: “Lower” means when account’s “Current balance” is lower than it, VOS will alarm. Other alarm settings are similar. After setting, you can simulate triggering alarm to check whether alarm email is received. If you can’t receive the e-mail, please contact tech support.
